How to Transfer Files from Computer to Phone
Move a file, photo, document, or link from your computer to your phone — directly from the browser. No USB cable, no cloud upload.
Quick answer: Open sharetexts.online on both devices. Click Send on your computer, enter the code on your phone, select the file. Done.
Step by Step
Open ShareText on both devices
Go to sharetexts.online on your computer and your phone's browser.
Click Send on your computer
On your computer, click Send something. A 6-digit pairing code appears.
Enter the code on your phone
On your phone, tap Receive something and enter the code. Or scan the QR code from your computer screen.
Select and send the file
On your computer, click the attachment icon or drag a file into the composer. The file transfers to your phone.
Save on your phone
Your phone shows the received file. Tap Save to download it.
Why Not Email It to Yourself?
You could — but ShareText is faster. No waiting for email sync, no file size limits from your email provider, no login. The file moves directly between your two devices.
Supported File Types
- Photos and videos (PNG, JPG, WEBP, MP4, MOV)
- Documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT, CSV)
- Audio files (MP3, WAV, AAC)

Mac to iPhone Without AirDrop
If AirDrop isn't working or you need to send to a non-Apple device, ShareText works as a reliable alternative. No setup, no configuration — just open the browser and go.
