How to Transfer Files from Phone to Computer
Send photos, documents, and any file from your phone to your computer — directly from the browser. No cables, no apps, no cloud.
Quick answer: Open sharetexts.online on both devices. Tap Send on your phone, enter the code on your computer, select the file. It arrives.
Step by Step
-
Open ShareText on your phone and computer
On your phone, open Safari or Chrome and go to sharetexts.online. Do the same on your computer.
-
Tap Send on your phone
On the phone, tap Send something. You'll see a 6-digit pairing code. Keep this screen open.
-
Enter the code on your computer
On the computer, tap Receive something and type the 6-digit code from your phone. Or scan the QR code displayed on your phone.
-
Select and send your file
On your phone, tap the attachment icon (or paste text/links). Select the photo, video, or file you want to transfer. It sends to your computer immediately.
-
Save on the computer
On your computer, the received file appears with a Save button. Click it to download.
Common Use Cases
- Photos from your camera roll — Transfer a photo to your computer for editing or sharing.
- Documents from email on your phone — Forward a PDF or receipt to your desktop.
- A link you found on your phone — Paste it on your computer to continue reading.
- Notes and text — Copy text from your phone and have it appear on your computer.
iPhone to Windows (Without AirDrop)
AirDrop only works between Apple devices. ShareText works across any two devices. If you have an iPhone and a Windows PC, ShareText is the fastest way to move a file — no iTunes, no USB cable, no third-party apps.
Does It Work on All Phones?
Yes. ShareText runs in the browser, so it works on any phone with a modern browser — iPhone (Safari), Android (Chrome), and others. No app installation needed.
